Preparing to become a mother

There is something so special about the excitement of learning you are about to become a mother. I can only imagine the whirl of emotions that come with those first few months of body and life changing miracles. When I first met Caren and Gustavo the excitement was clear. To remember every moment Caren really wanted to capture her journey in photographs and I am privileged to be a part of it. We had so many great ideas for their first shoot but the weather had other ideas! Eventually last week we found a break between the snow and rain to have a lovely beginning of spring shoot down by Lake Geneva in Vevey. Vevey is one of my favourite places, especially in the spring and summer. The flowers are just incredible and at the moment some of my favourites are out: cherry blossom and tulips. We were lucky that Gustavo could join us for this session and so I concentrated on trying to capture the love and excitement between this lovely couple. They had just received a present and decided to open it ‘on film’ and I just love Caren’s expression of delight!
