It was all about being spontaneous and becoming one…
There was a buzz of excitement as I arrived at Salon de Beauté Fay. The florist had just dropped off Shirin’s garlands and it was now time to turn her into a stunning nymph. Although the streets of Vevey’s vieille ville were quiet on a Monday lunchtime, the groom was hovering outside, eager to get his first peek, and we had to shoo him away!
I don’t think I have ever been to such a joyful, carefree and loving wedding. Shirin and Aoun did not stop smiling – even when we subjected the groom to photographs! And it was clear that the love this couple felt for each other was felt by their intimate gathering of guests.
The ceremony took place in the Hôtel de Ville in Vevey and as we walked along the lake to the Grand Hôtel du Lac, it didn’t take long for the couple to kick off their shoes. After champagne and nibbles we headed to pick up the cake and then onwards and upwards to the Hostellerie de Caux, perched above Lac Léman.
As the sunset over the apéro we took some shots of the couple, and of Oly and Haidar who gifted the wedding photography and album to Shirin and Aoun.
Dinner was a fondue chinoise followed by a challenge for me – cake and sparklers outside in the pitch black!
Congratulations on your ‘Fusion Day’ Shirin & Aoun, may you be connected forever.
