The Swiss summer has not been kind to weddings this year and, as I parked in Ouchy the rain was yet again pelting down. But checking Landi we had faith that it would clear up for Gemma and Ben’s wedding aboard the MV Lavaux.
Gemma was getting ready with her mum and bridesmaids in the Hotel Angleterre, the best Swiss music video channel we could find setting the background mood. The boys were in the bar, juggling papers and trying to figure out how to pin on a boutonnier.

Once Gemma was safely hidden away in the boat, we embarked and set sail for some calm waters in view of the harbour. There on the roll of the waves, Gemma and Ben promised to love and support each other forever, in a beautiful ceremony featuring dinosaurs and Dr. Seuss!

After a cruise and an apéro on board we disembarked at Lutry for a mini nautical photo shoot and were rewarded with a break in the rain and some gloriously moody mountains.

The festivities continued at the Domaine du Daley with stunning views over the lake, heartfelt speeches and the perfect sunset for a new life together.
