It’s so lovely to photograph a fellow photographer and I had such a lovely day with Colette and her family when I shot a maternity session for their Holiday cards in December. It was  freezing cold day so we started off inside their beautiful home, which was full of soft winter light. Colette really wanted to try some belly hand prints which little Erik thought was a brilliant idea – and loved smearing the paint! Before lunch we drove up into the hills above Rolle to search out some snow away from the wind and found the perfect spot where the light was filtering through beautifully. A sudden gust of wind even gave us some falling snow! I’m so glad we managed to find a time to get the photos before Christmas as it was so nice to receive such a personal Christmas card – what a great way to update friends and family when they live so far away.
