A Colourful Summer Celebration in the Vineyards of Geneva
M & A chose me to photograph their unforgettable Geneva summer wedding in the vineyards overlooking the city. The day before, I had captured their intimate civil ceremony and apéro in Veyrier. For their big day, the couple wanted relaxed, natural photography that focused on the atmosphere of the event.
With a large Indian family, the bride asked me to handle the group photos quickly so everyone could return to enjoying the beautiful summer evening. They also planned to create a wedding album for themselves and both sets of parents, so it was essential to capture every detail—from bridal and groom preparations to the start of the party. To ensure variety and full coverage, they opted for a second photographer, which I always recommend for larger weddings.
Blending Family, Friends, and Traditions
The couple designed their Geneva summer wedding to bring together family and friends in a way that felt welcoming for everyone. The morning began with relaxed bridal preparations with the bride and her friends, while my second photographer documented the groom with his parents.
The bride wore a summery silk gown from Wilton Brides, complemented by soft pastel florals from Fleuriot Genève. Her jewellery was especially meaningful—handmade in India by her mother.
The outdoor ceremony at Domaine du Choully was a highlight. Under the shade of a marquee and a stunning arch of flowers, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows and shared an emotional joint thank-you to their parents.
Vineyard Views and Summer Atmosphere
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the sunshine and panoramic vineyard views over Geneva. While they relaxed in the gardens, I photographed the family groups before taking the newlyweds for a few portraits at the far end of the vineyard. With golden light, music, and exceptional food, the evening flowed effortlessly into dancing led by the bride’s family.
