Twins Maternity Session in Lausanne

Emilie’s twins maternity session was one filled with love, laughter, and a sense of quiet anticipation. Even more special, it was a surprise present from her mum — the soon-to-be grandma! I often get asked if I offer gift certificates for photography sessions, and the answer is absolutely yes. Professional photography is an investment, and my clients truly value the quality, care, and artistry that go into creating these timeless memories.

A Thoughtful Gift for a Beautiful Milestone

When giving a photography session as a gift, I always suggest chatting with the recipient first to make sure it’s something they’ll treasure. Emilie’s mum took it one step further by gifting her daughter the full experience — the session, album, and digital files. What a wonderful way to celebrate such a significant chapter in her life!

We let Emilie know about her present about a month before the shoot so she could prepare, plan her outfits, and think about what she wanted from the session. That little bit of planning made all the difference on the day, helping everything feel relaxed and natural.

Late Autumn in Lausanne

For their twins maternity photography session, Emilie and her partner Victor chose one of their favourite parks in Lausanne. Even though it was November, we were lucky enough to find some of the last golden autumn leaves still clinging to the trees. The soft seasonal light and the warm tones of the foliage created a stunning, natural backdrop — a perfect setting to document the excitement of expecting twins.

Our shoot began under the park’s beautiful stone archways. The symmetry of the architecture framed the couple perfectly as they held hands and shared quiet smiles. I always love incorporating strong architectural elements like this — they add depth and contrast to the tenderness of a maternity session.

From there, we wandered deeper into the park, where the leaves blanketed the ground in shades of amber and rust. Emilie looked radiant in her denim skirt and cosy fur-trimmed jacket, perfectly styled for the cool autumn air. Victor kept close by her side, his arm gently around her shoulder, creating those natural, candid moments that tell the story of real connection.

Capturing Connection and Anticipation

One of my favourite things about photographing maternity sessions — especially twins maternity sessions — is the unique energy of anticipation. There’s this wonderful sense of togetherness between parents as they imagine the new lives soon to arrive. Emilie and Victor’s session was full of those moments: hands resting on her bump, shared laughter, and quiet tenderness between them.

We finished the session among the ferns and golden leaves, where Emilie sat on a stone surrounded by the rich colours of late autumn. The textures and tones made every image feel warm and timeless. Despite the chill in the air, the couple’s warmth and excitement came through beautifully.

Making Memories That Last

Sessions like this are what I love most about my work — capturing not just faces, but emotions, connections, and stories. If you’re considering giving a twins maternity session or a family shoot as a gift, I would love to help you create something truly special. My gift certificates can be tailored to include sessions, albums, and digital collections, so your loved one receives a complete experience from start to finish.

These photographs will be cherished for years to come — a heartfelt reminder of the love, excitement, and beauty that come with welcoming not one, but two new lives into the world. To book your maternity session, get in touch before you are seven months pregnant to book a session.
