Engagement Shoots

Every wedding collection includes a pre-wedding or engagement session. This is a one and a half to two hour session in a location of your choice. The aim of the session is to help you to feel comfortable in front of the camera. I will take you through some basic posing and initiate you into the way I love to shoot. The session is relaxed and easy going with no pressure to get any particular shot. I like to let my couples choose the location for their shoot so that it can be somewhere which has meaning to you. The best time to take photos is late afternoon/early evening, especially if you would like shots by the lake. I love to take pictures of people doing something that they love, so if you share a passion or have a special tradition we can include it in the shoot. It’s all about you having a fun, relaxed experience!

Brides sometimes like to schedule a practice hair and makeup session on the day of the shoot which helps you to feel more confident and also lets you see how a look will come out.  We can also schedule in a wardrobe change if you would like two different looks – perhaps one formal and one informal.

By the end, you will feel happy in my presence and any stress about photos on your wedding day will have disappeared! You will receive a gallery of approximately 50 fully edited images, from which you can choose 20 digital images to download. These images are special because they show the two of you at this time in your lives, enjoying time together and in your normal clothes. They can also make wonderful Save the Date cards, guest books or guest signing boards for the wedding day.
