BRIDAL PREPARATIONS

Bridal prep usually starts around 10am, depending on your ceremony timings. During this time I will capture all the special details of your day so it is a good idea to put a friend or bridesmaid in charge of collecting together the invitation, wedding day programme, flowers, dress, veil, shoes, jewellery and anything else you have put time and energy into creating for your day. I will normally shoot these while you are starting hair and makeup, if this is taking place at your home or hotel, or while you grab something to eat before dressing.

Towards the end of hair and makeup, I will take candid images of your preparations and this special time with your friends. It is a good idea to think about what you and your bridesmaids will wear to get ready as it will immortalised in your album. Gowns or simple dresses can be really pretty, especially in your wedding colours.

When it comes to getting dressed, the bride is the last to get ready. Bridesmaids and the mother of the bride should allow time to dress beforehand so that everyone looks their best. Be sure to try on your dress beforehand, and time how long it takes to do up corsets and ribbons!

Once you are ready we will spend 20-30 minutes getting some gorgeous bridal portraits and photos of you and the girls before heading out to the first look or ceremony.

GROOM PREPARATIONS

Not to forget the boys! Groom prep takes barely any time at all but this is a great opportunity to get shots of the guys enjoying a drink to calm the nerves before the ceremony. As well as some shots of the handsome husband-to-be, rings and any special touches that he has thought of.

Depending on timings and locations, the groom prep can take place in the hotel before the bridal prep or at the ceremony location just before the guests start to arrive.
