Maternity Photos as the Colours Change
I love the changing seasons, and Switzerland offers some of the most beautiful transitions. Autumn and spring are my favourites. The landscape shifts daily, especially in early autumn when green vines slowly turn golden. This autumn maternity shoot took place in the Lavaux vineyards, with Tiffany and Nicolas just as the colours began to change. In only a few weeks, the vineyard would glow gold against the lake and mountains.
Autumn feels like the perfect time for a maternity shoot. The season mirrors the transformation of starting a family—standing at the edge of something completely new. This session was extra special, as I had photographed Tiffany and Nicolas’s engagement here just a few years earlier.
The Joy of Following a Family
Since launching my photography business in 2011, one of the greatest joys has been documenting families over time. I love capturing their journey—from the excitement of engagement and weddings to pregnancy, newborns, and growing children.
Returning to the same locations allows me to echo earlier images while showing how people change. Tiffany looked radiant in a soft pink top, gently framing her bump. This autumn maternity shoot focused more on the couple’s connection than traditional maternity posing. Their natural ease in front of the camera helped tell a quiet story of anticipation and love. A few meaningful props, including Ponyo, tied this session to their upcoming newborn shoot.

Tiffany reached out early and had several autumn locations in mind. Planning ahead allowed us to reschedule if needed—important during late pregnancy when comfort and timing matter. Knowing your due date helps me hold space around those crucial weeks for both the maternity and newborn photo shoots.
